Islands of Adventure

Isaiah and I gave daddy a day at home to rest and catch up on his own things to do. We decided to drive out to Islands of Adventure and spend the day with my family during their "stay-cation." It ended up being a day of "firsts" for Isaiah!
  • His first theme park
  • His first ride
  • His first boat ride
  • His first time in a hotel
As the temperature was a sweltering 95 degrees yesterday, Isaiah stayed cool as we kept a cool, wet washcloth on him and kept him under the cover of his stroller. He loved people-watching as the rest of us took turns going on rides. It ended up being a great day!

I was able to capture his ride on the Dr. Seuss Carousal on video. I temporarily forgot that I was on 'video' mode for the first 20 seconds, so you'll have to tilt your head. Chalk that one up to still being a newbie. :)

Sad Day

We heard late last night that Isaiah's great-grandmother, Lois Nolle, passed away. She has been sick for a while, but it was still very sad to hear that she died. Isaiah was privileged enough to get to see Monnie just a few weeks after he was born.

Starting to teeth...

The past few weeks, Isaiah has been starting to chew on just about anything that comes into his arms' reach. He is now able to hold onto his soothie and prefers to chew on it on one side of his mouth or the other rather than just sucking on it. Today, I gave him a teething ring we had been keeping in the refrigerator for just this purpose, and he loved it! In fact, after chomping down a little bit, he decided it would be fun to put it on his nose or try using no hands!

Talking Toes!

What a busy week it's been! Isaiah turned 4 months old on Sunday. On Tuesday, Kathleen's cousin and Godfather, Brian, and his wife Liz was blessed with the birth of their first son, Dylan Patrick. On Wednesday, he finally found his feet. After lifting his legs closer and closer to his face for the past several weeks, he finally grabbed his feet on his own (without my cajoling) and has been playing with them ever since. Isaiah's also begun talking up a storm. When he wakes up in the morning, instead of crying until someone comes to get him, he is simply content to just blab and hear himself talk. He's getting really good at singing and telling stories! Unfortunately, he is a bit camera shy so as soon as I try to record him, he stops. But here is a glimpse of what I enjoy hearing throughout the day!
